Bonnie Katubig is the national head of claims for both the Medical Professional Liability and Sovereign Nations insurance lines of Hudson Insurance Group. She has been with Hudson for 15 years, handling complex claims and insurance structures.
Bonnie began her career as a trial attorney at the Chicago firms of Bollinger, Ruberry, & Garvey, LLC (now Connolly Krause, LLC) and Lowis & Gellen, LLP. She then transitioned to the insurance industry, first handling claims at TIG Specialty and later joining Hudson where she has risen to her current position. Bonnie currently oversees Medical Professional Liability claims for large hospital systems and practice groups throughout the U.S., while maintaining a select list of direct insureds. She also oversees claims for Sovereign Nations, which encompasses a full suite of liabilities including Accident & Health, Gaming Contracts, Auto Liability, Workers Compensation, and Property and Housing, among others. Bonnie is involved in strategic discussions both internally with the underwriting, risk, and actuary teams, as well as externally with insureds, brokers and reinsurers. Bonnie sees her primary roles as counsel, intermediary and solution finder.
After obtaining her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, she earned her J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago. Outside of work, nothing suits Bonnie better than a good hike either alone, with friends or, even better, with her two kids.
